I have just purchased a Eddystone EC958/7. However I am intrigued to find out what the difference is between this and the /E version.
1I have scanned many eddystone info sources but had no success.
Anyone got any ideas.

Hi, I have an Eddystone 2001 on which the spring loaded pot. controlling the varicap diodes appears to have slipped so the tuning capacitor will not open more than half way. I have checked and will recheck for any physical obstructyion.. I would apprecoiate any advice on how to resetthe pot. The BBC used to send a tuning signal on the 200Kc Droitwich transmitter. If they still do I could use it.
2This is the first time I’ve used this site. I aqm sad to hear we have lost Graeme and Ted both of whom helped me with technical problems in the past.
Regards.
Antony.
Hi Antony. I am thinkig you are talking about a 1002 receiver. Have you checked out the restoration articles in the technical section of the website to see if there is any advice there. Alternatively it might be better to put your request out via the EUG Yahoo forum which you can find via the website. Droitwich on 198kHz is still there but I couldn’t say whether there is a specific tuning signal on the carrier. Good luck Chris G0EYO
3Hi Chris. Yes it is 1002 receiver and I will follow your advice, but how do I get onto the Forum? I’ve signed up to the yahoo groups site but not sure where to go from there.
4Regards.
Antony.
Just hit the new topic button on the Eddystone Radio USers Forum and repeat the same message you put on here and it will be published on the Forum for all to see. I will look out for it.

Dear EUG,
I have recently bought an Eddystone EC10 which appears to be a great receiver. Unfortunately, it is not working. The model I have has a 220V power supply mounted on the back where I suspect previous models had the battery compartment.
I have downloaded the schematic but unfortunately it does not have the power supply diagram.
Do you have a diagram for the power supply – which seems to be the problem in my case.
Any help you can give would be appreciated.
Many thanks for an interesting web site and for the diagrams which you have made available.
best regards from Stan Hill – South Africa

8There is a circuit in one of the EUG newsletters. You will have to go through the index to find which one. From memory they are model 924 or 925 something like that. You can download the appropriate newsletter.

Dear Sir
11I have a S-870A receiver from Eddystone, but the scale is missing and there are some coils missing. I already have it working, but I like to restore it completely.
Is it possible that someone can make a scan of the scale so that I can reproduce it and adjust / make the coils for the correct frequency bands?
Kind regards
Nico
