Regarding looking for help to ID my S830 model, V3A, V3B and V4 associated circuits ring true to the 830/5 model, the frequency scale has no prefix after 830 model.
Cheers

Looking for help to identify my S830, there is no ID plate but I know from the circuit it’s not /1, /2, /3, or /4
Thanks

Chris,
Firstly wishing you and the Eddystone Users a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and of course thanking all for such an excellent web site.
Secondly, I’m in the process of renovating an Eddystone S504 for the Porthcurno Telegraph Museum. Its original and gold painted??? Firstly I thought it had been resprayed but find that its pristine gold under the finger plate so must have been an original production… I’ve never come across a gold coloured Eddystone before so wonder if you or the EUG can caste any light on this.
All the best to all

3Would very much like to become a member of this group. Am a long standing member of the
4NZ vintage radio society and licensed sine 1958.
Have owned 640, 840 and recently a Mk1 880 which I am attempting to restore.
However despite have over 60 years experience and a big inventory of valves and parts I am having a LOT of problems!!
Several dud resistors and the usual paper capacitors have already been replaced, but the only Mk1
circuit on line is of quite dreadful quality.
Does anyone have an opinion as to whether this once top end model is worth the effort?
Also any opinions about the VERY complex switching used in this set, is the switch quality reasonable, as one could obviously NOT replace the main switch!!
