Hello how are you ,I am Jonathan, today I bought an Eddystone 740 radio ,complete with S meter and round speaker, the seller belongs to a radio club ,he said that the radio has been sitting around for a few months and had some work done on it ,the S meter was a bit intermitted and could be dirty with dust, also noticed that the original wiring lead for the meter has cracked, the speaker is in good shape ,he was selling the set as a collectors piece and might need some attention because its an old set, great web site too, CHEERS from New Zealand
1Hi, Any idea best place to sell an Eddystone EC10 mk1 which my father used to use. I understand it works fine but it has not been used for several years.
Any suggestions gratefully received

Richard,
3e bay is a popular means of selling Eddystone sets. Alternatively I could advertise it on this website for you FOC. Ideally a few photos showing condition and completeness would be helpful plus whether you would be prepared to courier set or need it picked up on sale. Where the set is located. You need to state an asking price or ask for offers. EC10 Mk1 are quite common and one in nice condition would sell for £50-£80. Regards. Chris G0EYO

5Help wanted Eddystone 640.
6I am restoring a “640”. Everything seems to work OK when I apply signals from my signal generator and I could realign, etc.
BUT when I connect to a 7m long outside wire antenna NO signals heard ( checked signals were there with another Rx).
Have checked for all the obvious problems.
Helpful suggestions welcomed

I have an Eddystone S-811 speaker that is looking a bit tatty. I would like to dismantle the case so it can be powder coated. How do I do this? Are there fixing screws in the feet and if so how does one remove the chromed covers.
